“Envision Courthouse Square”, the planning effort for a new civic center, is wrapping-up it’s concept idea for an updated 1993 Courthouse Sector Plan Addendum.
The plan could be in front of the County Board as early as July, according to Arlington County Planner Jason Beske. This would finish a planning phase that began with the first documented working group meeting in December of 2013.
The fundamental goal of the planning process is to combine a link of buildings and outdoor spaces to generate an energetic, pedestrian-friendly, diverse square that will function as the public heart of Arlington County.
