Del Ray

Located in eastern Alexandria, Del Ray is a charming area close to Potomac Yard, Arlandria, and Old Town. Due to its prime location near I-395, I-495, and Route 1, Del Ray offers convenient access to all the luxuries of The District, Alexandria, and broader Northern Virginia. However, the neighborhood is perhaps best known for its incredible local dining and independent stores that line Mount Vernon Avenue. Del Ray is full of character, reflected in its abundance of local art and unique businesses. Featuring a nice mix of stand-alone houses and historic townhomes, Del Ray has a village-like feel. It differs from many other neighborhoods in Northern Virginia in that apartment-style condominiums are uncommon.
