Chris K is a DMV native, born in Falls Church, Virginia. His family’s ties to the region trace back to the Great Depression when his grandmother arrived as a young girl from Birmingham, Alabama, with her family looking for new jobs and a new life. Chris has honored his family’s legacy with his hard work, dedication, compassion and investment to the region. Prior to coming into the real estate business over 8 years ago, Chris traveled the globe as an international flight attendant for 17 years, perfecting his first-class customer service skills, learning the ways of many cultures. He also learned the art of negotiating and unionizing with his fellow union brothers and sisters as a shop steward and legislative affairs representative of the airline union. This position taught him the art of negotiation and communication, and was what inspired him to finally go into real estate. He has had a lifelong passion for design, architecture and a keen eye for detail.
Since his start as a real estate agent, Chris has worked tirelessly for his clients quickly securing lucrative deals across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia for a range of highly competitive listings, including waterfront properties, premium city condominiums and picturesque suburban homes. Chris joined the Keri Shull Team because he wanted to take his business and career to the next level, and become the sharpest agent possible. Anticipating his clients needs before they arise is everything to Chris. He get’s excited helping first-time homebuyers and repeat clients alike, with their real estate goals and dreams.
He also gets equally excited helping train new agents so they grow and develop, and works as a mentor on the Keri Shull team. Chris is also a Moseley Certified Trainer® with Moseley Real Estate Schools. He teaches the Virginia licensing course to pre-licensing students. His philosophy is to be the most educated agent for his clients, so he loves staying current on the latest regulations and changes in our industry by helping with new agent development.
Chris can be seen on the Keri Shull Team YouTube channel on various neighborhood and educational videos, and is a digital creator on Instagram. He believes social media is the future of real estate marketing, and loves shooting amazing content with his team.
As you can see, Chris knows a thing or two about executing goals and dreams. He will tell you the point in his life that jump started this, was when he set out to change his health and life losing over 134 pounds. He used that opportunity to fall in love with fitness, and has been a die hard runner, cycler and weightlifter ever since. He enjoys taking various cycle, yoga and group fitness classes at Equinox, where he also worked part time during the start of his real estate career. He was never athletic as a young adult or child, and reaching his weight and fitness goals reminded him of what he was capable of. He loves helping other’s find the best version of themselves whether it’s at his office, or working together with his clients helping them achieve their dreams.
When Chris isn’t working he can be seen running throughout the DMV’s beautiful neighborhoods, working out, playing Drag Bingo with his friends at Freddie’s in Crystal City or singing karaoke. He has sang and performed with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and is deeply rooted in his community. His favorite foods are Chinese, Korean, Thai & Vietnamese. He has been dining at Peking Gourmet since he was 4 years old, and will never turn down a lunch date to the Eden Shopping Center!
