Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Matthew grew up with big dreams of becoming president, but after learning the fates of JFK and Abraham Lincoln, he quickly realized that path might be a little too dangerous. While real estate wasn’t on his radar as a child, everything changed during his freshman year at Louisiana State University. College life felt repetitive and uninspiring, which sparked the realization that a career full of diversity and change would be a much better fit. Real estate, with its ever-shifting challenges and opportunities, became the perfect match—no two clients are the same and no two deals are ever alike.

When Covid hit and the world slowed down, Matthew took advantage of the extra time to earn his Virginia real estate license. After a brief pause in the industry and a year spent in Honolulu, Hawaii, working as a contractor’s apprentice, the improving DMV market called him back home. Joining The KS Team proved to be the turning point—this was the place that felt like home, with open arms and true collaboration.
